Is this Ridgeback Genesis Day 01 a decent bike ?

Not sure if this should be in the Road bike Forum or the MTB forum as it really needs to be in Hybrid but can't seem to find one for that.
Anyway I currently own a Claud Butler Hybrid which cost £200 in April but since getting this bike I have really got into the whole cycling thing. I am doing a 50 mile charity ride in October and have registered for a 75 miler in November followed by a 100 mile in April 2011. Now I don't know if my current bike is up to the task of the 75 or 100 mile rides so have started to look for a new bike be it brand new or second hand. I really prefer a more upright riding position of a flat bar bike rather than drop bars hence my question of is this bike decent :

(hope links to ebay are allowed)
I have also been down to Halfords to look at the Boardman Comp Flat Bar bike and found that to be a really comfortable riding position but at £699 it is very expensive. My initial budget was £500 max but if the Boardman really is a great buy then I may find ways to fund it.
Would appreciate any advice you have on a good bike for my suggested rides. [/url]

Thanks for the link.....seems a good spec for the price. Will try and find some local stock to eye it in the flesh.
