Specialized Rockhopper sl comp 2010 vs Rockhopper 2011

I'm looking to buy my first mountain bike. I'm looking at around the £700 margin for a decent hard tail. As this bike will be brought on the cycle to work scheme I'm limited to smaller shops (which i agree is a better thing) but means i could miss out on some big deals from shops such as wiggle.
Anyway, I've come down to the specialized rockhopper as it seems to be a great all rounder, but I'm slightly confused as to whether the 2011 rockhopper is actually better than the 2010 rockhopper sl comp. Both are priced within £20 of each other so i'd really appreciate someone with a bit more knowledge helping me out on this one. I'm mainly interested in the forks and brakes of each bike but any thoughts would be great.

2010 model is better. Budget for a new set of pedals, Specialized pedals are useless.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
