Cassette compatibility

Hi, I have an old but decent wheel built up on an FH6402 hub, Shimano 600, that I've been running with an 8 speed cassette. Cassette needs replacing, but the only 8 speed of any quality I can get locally is HG 70. Are these compatible? I've been running 13 - 28, but would an 11 - 28 fit OK? Google isn't being my friend tonight.

    An 11-28 will fit fine, just make sure that you use the 11t specific lockring, as the lockring for 13t will have a larger OD and foul the chain.
