Cheap front light

Here in Cyprus bike accessories are not cheap, so I was waiting for my next visit to UK to buy a new front light. Nothing extravagant - something to be seen by rather than something to see with.

I was in a corner shop, and there, next to the till was an LED flash-light - a simple cylinder with nine LEDs run from three AAA batteries - it's really quite bright and cost me €5.

This I can strap to the handlebars with some stout PVC insulated mains cable.

How much would a similar product from even a mail order bike shop have cost me?

    Hi
I use one of these torches on my helmet and just ordered some of the bike lights at the bottom of the page for the handle bars.
The torch, 2 mounts for the helmet, 2 batteries, charger and adapter plug came to about £45 last year and survived last winter.

On full power these are very bright especially for the price, and in the built up areas the flash mode you will be seen.
