SIDI MTB Terra's anyone?

Just saw these blingin' SIDI shoes that I thought might be useful in duathlons. I know loads of people use exposed road shoes but if the cleat is recessed then you can bomb it through transition on slippery surfaces without falling over and taking your teammates with you
Here they are: http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/produ ... Shoes_2011
Any thoughts? Or are the Mavic Avenirs with their SPD cleat compatibility a better bet? They looked impressive in a shop the other day but the cleat is so exposed!

They're very good but 2-bolt only so you'd need pedals that run 2-bolt cleats.0

Had mine for about 7 years & still look relatively new.
Thouroughly recommend them. Light and comfortable with a stiff sole for performance but you can still walk close to normally. Nobody in the club even realised that I was using spd shoes as they look like all the rest. Another benefit is that I seem to click in a lot quicker than the rest of the guys.
Yup, they are spd - but that is what the OP wants.None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0
