hi guys,

heres my 1st sereious(ish!) xc bike.
be kind!!

weight 26lbs.









specialized stumpjumper ht frame (08 i think)
rock shox j2's- utter horse plop! will be looking for some rebas/sid's when funds allow.
use atom carbon bars
90mm fsa stem- unsure of model.

hope pro sp3 rear with dt swiss xr400 rim.
hope pro2 on dt swiss xr4.2 (soon to be rebuilt with sp3 hub to )

xt hollowtech cranks.
xt rear mech.
slx cassette.
xt front mech.
lx shifters.
shimano m520 pedals.

160mm rotors, xtr m965 calipers with lx levers.


im planning to change the stem and seatpost to thomson elite. also as above going to fit some more approriate forks when i can afford it.
also, will it make any difference to the shifting performance if i go to xt shifters?
and the same with the brake levers?

Still liking that! - b.t.w. think it's a 2007 frame as the HT Stumpy went M5 in 2008 - still nice though

A Sid or Fox F100 will drop it to around 24-25lbs.

Great build ever with the J2 though.

You can get a used F100 for around £150 if you look around.

im now running a pair of panaracers, and the thompson bits. so have weighed it again.
it came in at 24.6lb!!! was shocked so i weighed it a whole bunch of times and it came out the same.

once i get some lighter forks on there and some other weight saving upgrades ive got i mind it think it'll come in sub 22lb.

will keep you posted as it progresses, needless to say its pretty quick and i love it!!
