Second hand Trek Madone 5.2 2007

Not raced, some sportives, well looked after, upgraded few parts and well serviced. DuraAce rear mech, ultegra other parts. I know the guy selling it, so trustworthy.

but he is asking me to make an offer :?

How much would you say?

Thanks :)

You mention upgrades - are the wheels the standard set or have they been upgraded?

It would probably fetch about £1K+ or so on eBay as Treks are always a very popular bike to sell on that site.

Try him with £800?? If it's in good condition, it would be a good buy for you at that price if you want a Trek. If he's looking for a grand or more - there would be better bargains to be had I think.

    Anyway that's my opinion FWIW
  • The 2007 is the older version of the Madone so probably won't be as expensive as the latest version...however, if you can get your hands on it for £800 you've got yourself a great deal!

  • I just picked up 2008 5.2 for £925 which I think is on the cheap side. I had expected to pay up to £1100 for the right bike. The one I got was full Ultegra. For a 2007, I would say £800 is a good offer.
  • I got an 07 in 09 for £750.
    I think £700 is a good price, £750 tops.

Yes he can get more on ebay MAYBE but does he want to list it, ship it, pack it and put up with stupid questions and paypall charges.

Check what they go for on ebay and you'll see £750 is more than fair... the onlder shape madones fetch far less than the knew shape ones.

I acually prefered my 07 to my knew shape 08... damn fine bike the 07 5.2
  • These normally make £1000+ on Ebay, especially of it is good condition with upgrades.

Supposedly a lifetime frame warranty for the original owner, assuming you friend (the seller) had it from new, i would certainly pay a fair price, just in case you need him to act on your behalf if you ever have "isssues" with the frame.

I've bought an o7 5.2 and 5.0 from ebay and sold the 5.0 with full dura ace and non have been more than £800.
