Hi all,
I have been offered a 8 month old Boardman Sport MTB in good condition for £300. Should I go for it or do you think that there are better specced MTBs that can be bought at a store for the same sort of price range (Specialized Hardrock is about the same price)?
I have read quite about about the Boardman Comp and Pro - but is the entry level Sport version any good?
Thanks

If it's in mint condition you won't find ANYTHING as good for the money.Cool, retro and sometimes downright rude MTB and cycling themed T shirts. Just MTFU.

The Sport is 1000 times better than the Hardrock. If it fits, and you are not bothered about a warranty, go for it.0

I'd pick the Boardman over the Hardrock and I own a Hardrock. For £300 you'd have to be VERY luck to get anything that comes close the Boardman.
If it's in good condition, hasn't done millions of miles and you trust the seller I'd go for it.0 -
I would have a boardman over my Hardrock as well. If its good you wont find better for the moneyTransition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Well...managed to negotiate to 280 so even better.
Condition was v v good...so overall, v happy with it. I have to say though that it's v strange going to a mountain bike again after road cycling - position will take some getting used to (as it did when I first when on a roadie)....a high quality bike0
