Watching Tour of Britain - best place?

Hopefully ill be going to watch stage 5 of the tour of Britain next week and wondered where the best place to watch it would be. I cant get to the start in time or be at the finish so is a sprint or a hill the best place? Im thinking of the hill around Whitestone.

Also, how early should i get there to get a decent spot?
