Hi guys,

I've replaced the 2 bearings of my Khamshin rear hub.

Since that time , it does not work correctly !

When the wheel is locked on the frame ( with the skewers) , the transmission is blocked , but not the wheel itself ..... The wheel can turn forward , but not backward.

By opposition, when wheen is not locked on the frame, it works normally.
I deduct it's the axial force of the skewers which creates the issue .

Did I make something wrong during reassembly ? I don't think so, but there is perhaps a trick that I'm not aware of ...?

Could anayone help me ?

I haven't done this myself, but believe it's a bit of a balancing act between removing the bearing play, but not tightening to an extent which restricts movement. See if this Park Tool article (or the ones on the preceding pages) can help you...

    Good luck.

There's a bit of a black art to bearing adjustment - typically adjust the bearing to take up the play and then back it off about a quarter-turn - tightening the QR then takes up the play. The problem with the wheel sounds as though the freehub hasn't been fitted correctly though.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
