Just getting ready to go to work (2nd, weekend job) and today I have the task of hanging two internal doors and all of their furniture (handles, locks etc)... which will no doubt require faffing around and much use of manly man tools..... lol

Been a while since I have hung a door, but should be fine.. oooo-oooeeeer

What are the rest of you reprobates up to today? Anything exciting?

  • I'm just getting ready to go for a ride. Beautiful day today, but It's been absolutely hammering down for the last 2 days so it should be a muddy one! Been ages since the trails have been properly muddy, so I'm quite looking forward to it.
  • Just got up,the sun is shining and it could be summer.Browsing on tinterweb for a new set of forks but haven't found anything so far. shall clean the bike in preperation for a big ride on tomorrow morning
I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.

Sun is out but the ground is soaked, give it a couple of hours to dry a little before I head off into hills.

cycled into work, nice & dry for 33 miles then 2 miles of heavy rain.

Everything is wet through, even the clothes in my rucksack

I have decided that my bike stand and tools are essential bit of kit that i NEED so some stuff is coming out to make way for them :D

i woke up today and am so tired, not tired enough to stay in bed but i feel physically fu*cked.

to that end, todays ride will happen tomorrow and instead i am going to drink loads of coffee, i reckon that should square my lethargy.

  • Oh Hai!

What a feckin week it's been! I've got far too much work on at the moment. I've been spending my days soldering cables, I think my eyes are fecked now.

Yesterday I was on the panel for my new minions job. Doing interviews is fun, figuring out which of the 6 you want to employ is not so fun though. Anyway, I managed it eventually, and ended up giving it to the only female applicant 8) In fairness, she is probably the best for the job.

Anywho, this weekend will be spent chillin out, and not givin a crap about anythin. Have I missed any fun threads this week?

  • Just done some chores
Sun's out today, sat in front of the 'puter stuffing a pasta brunch down my gullet as I'm off to Cannock to ride FtD this afternoon.
  • My ride today made me aware of 3 things.

    1. I'd forgotten how much harder it is riding in proper mud (especially climbing)
    2. I'd not noticed just how much my Fat Albert had worn down on the back over summer. It's bordering semi-slick
    3. A few days of heavy rain can completely change routes you got to know like the back of your hand over summer.

    Good ride though :D

morning gang, Today I've rediscovered how difficult golf is with a bucket of balls down the driving range, my abs feel like someone has reversed a tank over them.

This afternoon i'm on laminating duty before getting in a lovely pizza tonight and settling down in front of last night of the proms
