Hiya
I own a scott g zero pro, a old bike but its been a solid workhorse for a number of years now, im looking to update it a little, the BB i have in is worn and im looking to replace it. my question is, with a external BB do you need the type of cranks that have a solid shaft attached to the drive side of the cranks thats goes through the BB. i currently run a truvative husselfelt crank and fsa isis BB. Im thinking to change to a external BB i will have to chane the cranks too is this correct.
many thanks

That is correct.
Best value is to buy a set - as most come as that.0 -
you'd have to change both and may even need the frame facing too.0

TBH if the crankset is fine I would just replace the BB, you wont really notice the difference on an older bike anyway.0
