my back wheel got trashed in a pot hole and instead of buying just one wheel I thought about getting a new different set.

I've got a set of Mavic CPX22 and was looking at spending £200.
First is it worth it compared to what I already have on that budget.
Secondly I've seen the following where the cheapest set is £150 for a pair of Fulcum Racing 5 Evo's. They seem to range from £180-200 on most sites I've seen.

thirdly, any ideas or comments

thanks

    Ordinarily I wouldnt bother

Mavic CXPs are about 2000 grammes a set depending on the hubs

    The fulcrums are 1800 g

I'd look for a set about 1500g which should yield a noticable improvement

Then again, if you need to replace the mavics and your budget is £150 they're no worse than anything else at the price

Have a look at Planet X Model B's, pretty much the lightest you can get for the money and strong enough to survive a crash that made my forks explode.

I've been tempted by some Ultegra's for £229 but they weigh in about 100gs lighter than the planet x model B and £100 dearer, is £100 really worth 100gs???

the planet x's have great reviews for wheels that I'd expect to be more expensive than £129.

Up to you really, depending on your tyres and tubes you could save more there for less money, and affect performance more.
