Another question - I have a small head (normal length but narrow), and as a consequence my helmet looks stupid, despite it being the smallest one I could find.

Anyone else with a narrow head had this problem? Better still, are there any brands that do a narrower fit?

Cheers...

  • Too vain. A helmet is to protect your head and is not a fashion accessory!
Get yourself down to decent bike shop that stocks plenty of different makes and try on.

To be fair, if it's not the right shape for your head it won't be quite as secure.

The Specialized helmets tend to run a bit narrower, compared to Giro and Bell anyway.

But surely if you get a helmet that looks good (or you feel looks good), you more inclined to wear it?

Of course that's why I wear a top of the range Giro Ionos which is the dog's b******s and is in silver which matches my bike and my shoes.

    Me vain? No way.
  • The Catlike helmets seem to look good on all head sizes...perhaps worth checking them out?
