Can't undo HT2 preload cap

Trying to remove a set of SLX cranks, but I can't seem to undo the plastic preload cap from the non-drive arm. No matter how hard I twist it, it won't seem to come loose and I'm worried I'll strip it if I try much harder (though I am using one of the plastic 'keys' specifically for the purpose).
Less internal organs, same supertwisted great taste.

    have you undone the 2 pinch bolts?
