Fox 40 Fork - Grinding noise!!

keep getting a grinding noise on my fox 40's when either land off a reasonable size drop of hit a jump, as I pull up on the bars. doesn't come from bottoming out, as my Oring never gets there, seems to be about 1/2 way throught the stroke.

any ideas or solutions to stopping this?

Has the heat shrink on the spring moved causing the spring to rub on the inside of the leg?
