Hi all,

Just got an email from SportsDirect. Karrimor padded tights (or pants as they call them) nocked down to £7.99.

Not sure how good they are.....bear in mind that this is the type of "Sports Shop" (read as Football Shop!) that would normally class unpadded lycra shorts as cycling shorts (the type you would wear for rugby / football under your kit)

Thought it might be worth it though for anyone just starting who's not ready to start spending lots on clothing quite yet.

I had a pair of these purchased for me,....gave them a go...

They are not very high waisted and fall down a bit while riding, even after washing them, the black dye came out on to the white saddle and onto legs...

I wore them twice , I think they are now at the back of the cupboard somewhere?

Considering the price of most cycle clothing, they are certainly cheap,,,maybe too cheap?

I have the padded shorts - I found them very good, better when tthey fit snuggly, why not try them at a store- then you cannot go wrong.

I found then a bit tight in the leg. Also, the front padding is more like a 'brazilian', so don't expect them to cover your modesty.

Although I am considering their non-padded ones over my usual padded shorts
