Carbon paste on carbon steerer tube / alu stem?
I recently adjusted the height of the bars on a relatively new carbon bike. The alu stem came off the carbon steerer tube ok but I noticed there was no paste / lubrication on the steerer tube. I've been hearing of carbon seat post / alu frame sticking issues when no paste is applied so just wondered whether carbon paste (or similar) should be applied to the steerer tube to prevent similar sticking issues. Less contact surface area may mean no.
Also, I understand carbon paste is used to help prevent slipping and reduction of torque values between two carbon items but is it safe to use between carbon and alu to prevent sticking or should this be a different type of grease / paste? Just trying to avoid any costly cock ups down the line, cheers.

Carbon paste should be used on any carbon parts ideally.
You can just use fenwicks hand cleaner though!0
