Cranks/hub problem

When I spin the cranks while my bike is in a workstand and then stop the cranks keep rotating as the wheel does.
The hub is a hope pro 2, is this normal? And if not what could be causing it? I can't work this out.

    strip and clean the pawls and ratchet.

    One of the first things I did when I got the wheels was to strip and clean the pawls and ratchet.
    So I presume I could have done something wrong when reassembling the hub, ie putting the pawls or springs in upside down.
    Could this be caused by putting too much grease in?
