Caad 9 vs Caad 10

I've got the option of either taking one of the very last Caad 9's with Ulltegra or a Caad 10 for the same price.
What would you do?
The Caad 10 is an unknown quantity at the moment so do I take the risk and wait for one of those or buy the very excellent Caad 9?
It's a cycle to work purchase.

I'd go with CAAD9. It's a well known bike, and has quite a few followers. The CAAD10 however is an unknown - in changing the frame materials (or whatever else they've done), they could change the qualities that many people list as making the CAAD9 such a good frame. Plus the CAAD9 is available now .0

I guess my concern is that the current trend for bike prices seem to be continuing. Speaking in one of my LBS this weekend the trend for Specialized bike prices seems to be continuing to rise for no comparitive upgrade in spec.
If cannondale were to do the same then I would probably be better off with the CAAD 90 -

I've got the CAAD9 but doubt you could go far wrong by going for the '10'. Could depend on the new colour schemes for a lot of people.0 -
CAAD9, purely because "Handmade in the USA" emblazoned on the seatstay and top tube is so much classier than a "Mass produced in Taiwan on the cheap" sticker on the bottom bracket0

Maybe. Maybe not. However, comparing the finish on my '9 with that of the '10 pictured in the link.
It also irks me that this frame is made, as said, on the cheap. Why else would they punt production out to the Far East?0 -

And I agree. However, much like opting for, say, a Morgan over an Mazda MX-5, there're a certain sense of satisfaction in knowing that what you behold was put together by someone who gives a toss, rather than an accountant...0 -

Anyhoo, why does the language someone speaks in a mass production bike facility matter? They will be made in the same manner but in a different country. What makes you think the people making them in the USA give more of a toss about the product than the taiwanese workers?0 -
The '9 was built by a small number of Cannondale-employed workers, in a Cannondale factory. I'll give them some credit and say they knew this, and took pride in their work. And it showed, with jolly nice frames gracing many a' road.
The '10 is sub-contracted out to some generic bike factory which churns out bike by the thousand for x-dozen other manufacturers, only gaining what little "Cannondale" identity it has when the stickers are put on. It's become a cookie-cutter bike, much like the Pinnacles, Claud Butlers, Carreras, Boardmans, Planet-Xs, Ribbles etc of this world. As a result, there's little to distinguish the '10 from any other bike on the showroom floor.
IIRC, change in material. Why? Evolution, or changed to meet the appointed factory's capabilities?
"Lumpier" welds. Why? Cost-cutting? Poorer production standards? I know how a weld "looks" is nowhere near as important as how *well* it's done, but it's the little details like the smoothed welds that make the '9 such a joy to behold. Again, looking at it, you know someone was bothered about it..
Snobbish? Yes, but then snobbery is rampant in cycling. How else would you explain such a big market for heniously expensive pushbikes? So it's not as if I'm being unnecessarily awkward here!0 -

I can see the Caad 9 becoming much sought after in the future, just because of the "cult" status surrounding it now. The "Made in USA" frames will be in big demand and anything made after those (ie Asia) will be just another Cannondale and never worth what the USA frames will be.
Better hoover up all the Caad 9s on EbayJens says "Shut up legs !! "
