SRAM SX4 shifter

can anyone help with advice on changing SRAM SX4 front trigger shifter
this insides have disintegrated,and it needs replaced
i am looking for the most straight forward replacement.do I stick with SRAM or change to something more user friendly like Shimano
the RAM looks tricky to fit the cable into
Also if i change to Shimano or similar do I Have to change the cables

    If you change to shimano, you will need a new rear mech.

    Most new shifters come with cables installed anyway though

    If it's the right hand shifter then stick with SRAM or you will have to change the rear mech as well.
    Nothing unfriendly with SRAM, look for some X7s, nice upgrade from your SX4s.
