Anyone have any experience (good/bad) of Planet X hubs?
Planning to build a spare set of wheels, which will probably end up getting used all Winter for commuting; need something which will be reliable but economical, and the Planet X hubs look like good value.
Rims will almost certainly be Open Pro, 32h front and back.

Pannier, 120rpm.

Not had any problems whatsoever with my planet-x wheels, been used for 6 months (100 miles/week) in all weathers and they haven't needed even looking at. Excellent for themoney... fit and forget.
Although come to think of it, my PX wheelset actually has on-one branded hubs, probably exactly the same as the PX ones though, just with a different name on it.0 -
I've been using their hubs for a number of years with no problems - P-X source their hubs from the likes of Joytech / Formula who are the biggest hub manufacturers making product for all the major OEMs - they are generic designs with few known weaknessesMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
