Can anyone recommend me a good grease/oil for my chain, it's running quite dry.
Thanks.

I don't think that there is a BAD grease or oil you can put on a chain. Use what you have.

    ^ don't use vegetable oil or WD40!

I get a 1ltr bottle of thin car gearbox oil from my local motor factor. Works just as well as any other oil in my experience, plus it's quite literally a tiny fraction of the cost of stuff from the bike shop.

Whatever oil you use, do make sure you clean it properly. When I started working in the bike shop, the old mechanic told me that if I wouldn't put it in my mouth, it wasn't clean enough.

GT85 or WD40 on a cloth, run the chain through it both directions, repeat until the chain is nice and clean.
Lube it with oil, 3in1, engine oil, bike specific oil (more expensive) and wipe off any excess :D
