11-27 Cassette?

I'm currently running an Ultegra SL 12-27 cassette. I've ordered some new wheels and want to order a cassette for them. Ideally i'd like an 11-27 cassette but they only seem to come in Dura-Ace and that's more than I want to spend. So i've got a couple of questions:

Does anyone know anywhere that has 12-27 Ultegra 6600 cassettes left in stock?
Is there much difference between the 105 and Ultegra cassettes as the new Ultegra 6700 cassettes don't come in 12-27?
Could I run an 11-26 SRAM cassette?

Thanks,

Sean

Difference between 105 and ultegra is weight. 105 are bullet proof btw. My bro had a 12-27 dura ace... not for long though as he realised he didnt the wide ratio.... bin the 27 and get a 12-25... Job done :)

Yea maybe i'll man up and go for an 11-25. I've just found these:

Apart from one is £136.99 and the other £64.99 can anyone see a difference? At £65 I could get the DA 11-27.

Don't see a difference unless im missing something. I ride 12-25 on my training bike and 12-23 on my TT and the same on my roadie... they serve me well around the pennines.
  • Or go for the Ultegra 6700 11-28, if you want/need to extend the bottom end?
There's no such thing as too old.

I don't need to extend the bottom end, 27 is more than enough. I wanted to stay with what I had just because I was used to it but I would like the 11 over the 12 as I run out of gears downhill.

I think I'll go 11-25 with one of those £65 DA cassettes for the weight saving.

    Cheers
