I have a Scott Scale 35 so I have to recommend the Cube. My friend has the LTD and it is a very very nice looking bike in the flesh. I'd buy cube if I were buying again.

CRC had these bikes reduced earlier this week by 20-30% so keep an eye out.

Not ridden either but the cube looks fantastic in the flesh
    I like white bikes
  • Had a LTD Race, and loved it, sold it because i needed cash at the time. :(
    Then i bought a 2010 Trek EX8.

I'm near enough 6ft, with 34" inside leg and I've got a 20" Ltd Race on order.
  • This thread may have already helped you make up your mind as the majority of people are leaning towards the Cube.

I've had extensive time test riding both bikes as I used to work for a major dealer of both brands. I have thus ridden both bikes numerous times on demo days etc.

The Cube Ltd Race is a fantastic looking bike and is very well specc'ed, but surely it comes down to ride quality?

The Scott Scale 50 rides like an xc whippet. While the Cube Ltd Race climbs like a mountain goat, which is great...but the Scott Scale 50 climbs like a spider monkey on acid. A truly inspiring bike to ride.

I've owned loads of bikes, but if I was to buy another 'off the shelf' hardtail, it would def go for the Scale...ANY DAY.

I'm just short of 6 feet and have a 33 inside leg.

i rode the 18 and 20 inch versions of the cube and found that they both felt fine. however the seat post was almost at the maximum on the 18 inch.

I ended up getting the 20 inch which is effectively 2 cm longer on the top tube, but i changed the stem to a 90mm one (original 120 which is very long). This gave me the same distance compared to the 18 inch frame which comes with a 105 stem. Makes the steering a bit sharper, but worked a treat.

    hope this helps
