I am currently running an FSA SLK chainset on my 2005 specialized tarmac comp. I am thinking of switching to an SRAM compact however, I am unsure about the size of the bottom bracket I would need. At the moment I have the FSA Mega exo BB installed, this is stamped BC 1.37" x 24T. Not sure if this is an English bracket or not, don't suppose anyone could help as I'm not sure what size bracket I'd need to get to replace it if I switch to SRAM?- Anyone know if you can run SRAM cranks on an FSA mega exo BB- saves me the expense of a new BB I guess!
Sorry it's all rather long winded!
Cheers
Rob

Hope do an adaptor bush such that you can use a regular HT2 or FSA BB:

Sram uses the (Truvativ) GXP BB. You can pick one up for around £19. Or that adapter looks like it will do the trick.

nope they are for making Hope BB compatable with GXP cranks. Not shimano HT2 BBs with GXP cranks.

Shimano and FSA use plastic inserts to run on the axle. Hope and others run the bearings directly on the axle.

also other makers use different thickness bearings to the Hope ones. So the Hope ones do not always work with other makers cups/bearings.
