Ive recentley built up a spech epic for xc, Im now looking to build up some thing abit more burley for thrashing. Know im not planning on spending a fortune ill just be buying parts off here and single track. Ive been looking at a orange crush frame 2009/2010 but i also would like a commie meta frame, i know it will cost more but i really dont know which to get. I like the idea of a All mountain hardtail like the crush but i dont know if i should get a full suss? Whats your thoughts guys? Thanks

Personal prefernce. Some people want FS comfort and speed, some people want HT challenge, but there's also people who beat FSers on HTs.

  • If you want a hardtail, get one. I love mine. Originally bought it with the intention of eventually getting an FS as a 2nd bike (I wanted the HT first as a do-it-all bike). Now I want to build a 2nd HT (or 3rd, as I already built a commuter HT!)

But you know, I could just as easily post the opposite of this. Each to their own. Get what you want. It's not a question anyone here can answer.

HT bikes are extra fun compared to awesomeness of FS. If you really like it absolute hardcore type of riding, then HT is the way to go. I like my FS for plushness and want Ragley as HT.

I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though
