Cycle2work - Bike choice

I'm returning to this biking scene and wanted to share advice on the above with any other new folk.
Was tempted to get a bike by my employers scheme run through Halfords' www.cycle2work.info scheme. Not sure it's entirely obvious when applying so wanted to make sure people out there knew that you can use this scheme in your LBS rather than having to choose from Halfords' selection.
I've just got home with my Gary Fisher from my local store which I preferred to what was on offer from Halfords. As far as I can tell it's only certain stores but may well be worth checking out.
Now to get riding....
