Is a Maxle worth it?

Hi all,
i'm in the market for a reba.
I can find some 2010 models for around £300 but only with a standard qr.
Really i'd like a maxle as they seem so good but you're talking an extra £200 in most cases.
Everyone keeps telling me it's worth it but i can't see it given that the maxxle part is only about £50 so i'd be paying £150 for the holes to slot it into..!!
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Been a few threads on this recently, have a look through a few pages for them, or use the search function.
Do you have wheels that are compatible though?0 -
On a Reba I can see the type of riding you intend to do really needs the extra stiffness. There also a few through axle 9mm which do a pretty good job of tieing the lowers together, I've got a fire eye F920qr hub on the teocali and that with toras give good precision.-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

Why are MTB economics; spend twice as much as you intended, but only half as much as you wish you could afford? :roll:0
