Does this set a precedent then ? I've heard of cyclists getting items thrown at them - can we expect the offenders to be punished suitably now ?

If it had been a cyclist it wouldn't have even got a mention.
No, I'm pretty sure my explanation is the right one...
But yes, if it was a cyclist the story wouldn't get a mention.

I was in court for his 1st appearance in this case at Luton Mags. He was sentenced that day for another offence to prison and this matter was transferrred to Westminster Mags.
