Hi

What's my cheapest option for a 50t chainring to fit to my 10spd Chorus compact chainset ?
Campag ones ar about £80 !

Cheers

    Hi Galatzo

Just done a refurb on my Mercian Triple Mirage chainset. Sourecd a Record 8-speed cassette on Ebay, a Mirage BB and new 8-speed chain.

During the replacement process I realised that the 50T chainring on my triple crankset was knackered. After a bit of searching I found this Ebay seller and bought the new chairing from him for £15.84 + postage. A big saving on a new Campag item. Link to the seller I bought from is here:-

You could contact them to check if they have a chainring to suit you.

If you are a bit unsure about going for a non-Campag item, I would call Mercian Cycles in Derby (01332 752468) who are UK agents for a lot of Campag gear. They may be able to quote you a better price for thew 50T ring.

If it's Ultra Torque Compact, a TA Nerius will normally be the cheaper.

You have remember UT Compacts have a totally wonky BCD of 4x110mm and 1x113mm so normal compact chainrings won't fit.
