Are any forum members aware of any online shops selling brake pads in bulk?

Best place is usually your lbs, they're much more amenable to larger orders of random things, you should be able to get a decent discount if buying a lot. Aim for trade +10% and VAT.

Amenable is not a word I'd apply to my LBS mate... I've been let down too many times, and they're not even that local.

I bought 10 packs of Shimano Dura Ace pads very cheaply on ebay a year or so ago. Keeping me going for along time. They were silly cheap.

    There's an ebay seller - BikeFridge - cheap'n'cheerful - don't last too long though.

I expect the bulk DuraAce ones on ebay were knock-offs too
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    Hmmmm, a veritable minefield.

So you tried them and value them okay for the money? Other comments seem to be very favourable on these OBE pads: http://www.cyclechat.net/topic/54185-obe-brake-pads/ And the price is around 1/4th of KoolStop.

But am I correct in assuming that you don't rate the performance of these pads as highly as quality pads like Swissstop or KoolStop? Or the new 6700/7900 pads?

Thanks for your help folks, much appreciated. I'm currently trawling through the myriad options on the OBE/Disco Brakes site. It all looks remarkably good value.
