Whats the chain of choice these days?
Just ordered some Hope Hoops on Flows, so need to order an XT cassette, and may as well get a nice new chain too.
Thinking Sram as like the link system.

I tried my LBS's workshop chain tool a couple of weeks ago - much burlier than the one I carry in my bag for emergencies... which is, in turn, much burlier than the one I broke years ago.
As for chains... until recently a Sachs somethingorother (it's been a while) - SP30R it looks like from the worn writing on the plates. But like I said, it's worn, so it could be something else entirely.
Now, a Shimano "I need a new 9 speed chain please" from the LBS. I wasn't exactly minted then so just got what he had. It's held up well so far anyway.0 -
^^^agreed, tesco homebrand £2, bargain0

KMC X9-L does the job for me perfectly well & looks good tooConstantly trying to upgrade my parts. It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.0
