Problem with HT2 bb and deore cranks

Hi all,
I've just moved my drivetrain over from my old hardtail to a new full suss frame with the same width bottom bracket (72mm). I've got 2 spacers drive side and one on the other same as before but for some reason I now can't get the non drive side arm right on to the drive side one in order to fit the plastic grommit thingummyjig. What's the craic? How is this even possible? Enquiring minds want to know.
Thanks,
Dan

I was convinced my Marin had a 73 bb but it appears I was completely wrong. Should have measured it first. Removed two of the spacers and it's *now* fitting properly
