When's the best time to buy.

I'm currently saving my pennys to buy a bike, but when is the best time to buy?, I was told wait till the end of august when shops will try to get rid of the past years bikes?. is this right???

    Yes - but this year, sales have been high and many popular models and sizes are sold out
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
