My 09 661 raji smalls are falling apart a bit and are too small and it's my birthday in a month, so i'm looking for new gloves. i ride xc/am and manage to get sweaty at about 0 degrees c in winter wearing summer gloves, so i'm looking for summer gloves with plenty of ventilation and a bit of protection. i've looked at 661 2010 comp and raji gloves, and troy lee air gloves. The comps are the cheapest (17) and have the most protection but the least ventilation, the rajis are in the middle in terms of price (20) and have the most ventilation, but i had issues with mine falling apart a bit, maybe because they were being stretched because there too small? or is it just bad quality. the airs are the most expensive (22) looks coolest, have some ventilation, not as much a rajis though, and some protection too. any other ideas? and which of these are best?

Many people will say don't get 661 gloves for this very reason. I had a pair of 661 comps, they did fall apart, but only after a time period of use that I would expect. I have since bought Troy Lee XC gloves and can say they are better fitting and seem more robust. I would hazard a guess as to the Troy Lee Air gloves being much the same.

Look at Royal Air gloves as well, pretty cheap and amazing gloves.

I have been using them for over 6 months now and there is not much wear on them at all, and I got them for 12 quid :D

ok thaks for your replies, i think it's between the royal air and tld air, i prefer the tld's because they look rad, sick and hip yo, and more ventilated too.

I have some 661 comps but they're too hot for the current weather here. I've now got some Giro Rivet and they're perfect for me. Very light though, so not an all year glove.

I've got the TL air gloves.

Not overly fussed about them to be honest. I find them very thin almost to the point of pointless. I now wear some Giant ones that I picked up for a tenner in a sale.

They have however stayed intact including some sliding across gravel hands first :0)

If you want a real light weight glove then there excellent. For me though there just a bit too thin.

Are they worth the price? IMO no. So shop around and see if you can get them cheaper.

Thor Phase gloves are decent - find my pair very comfy, light and not too warm

i've found the tld air on ebay in the size/colour i want for 20, so i think i'll go with that. i have the raji at the moment, which is a lightweight glove and i really like it so i'm fine with it being thin
