Fecking fantastic, and a big thanks to (in order of appearance)Lawman, Abs, MacandCheese, TheKickingMule and CWNT, oh and if you've decided to get your butts on here, the rest of the Hombres in attendance, you guys were fantastic company all weekend, it really was great to meet you all.

the event itself, was good too, got a bit quiet in the night time, so we managed to organise an impromtu glo stick bombing war the first night, then second night Kicking Mule, me and Hombre Craig, nearly, so nearly managed to gatecrash the riders party. The night ended a bit sourly as the Boyo's across the way from us had a bike nicked, and we ended up doing a couple of hours of wandering round having a look. ending with Craig nearly questioning Sam Pilgrim about said felony, and some fat camp charity guy claiming he'd pulled Rachel Atherton

Anyway, a top weekend guys, Photo's will follow soon, unfortunately Lawman failed his photo challenge after what he claimed to have seen!!!! but that, I shall leave for him to explainif he so wishes

And MacAndCheese, your welcome mate, we really couldn't have met a better bunch of guys, now get on FB and join the group lol

    WOOOOOP!!!

Just got home. Fab weekend, superb weather and cracking company.

    BOYO!!!!

Mrs CWNT will shortly be starting a business selling cakes and sausage rolls, she is hoping to become official supplier to team HOMBRES and retire in a few months :P

Again, many thanks to Thekickingmule for picking me up and dropping me off, and generally being a stand-up bloke.

I'll stick up some vids maybe tomorrow.

Can't believe the farce at Cannock, shame we didn't meet you. If only you weren't so slow, you might have caught me and Ben up

I actually got into it, with no problems at all, began mingling, then noticed Gaz and Craig being evicted, so joined them

Great weekend, and glad to have met so many people, nice puttin faces to names. Also interesting how few people can do a welsh accent!

I got to meet Rachel too, forgot my chloroform rag though ;) (Excuse my ugly mug)

bails87 Yeh, sorry we missed you guys for the cannock ride, and sorry I wasn't able to talk when you found us at the end.
Really enjoyed the Monkey / FTD though. Amazing how they managed to but so much into what's a relatively flat place. I like the way there are lots of climbs and descents rather than just 1 big climb followed by 1 long descent. Somehow makes you feel like you've accomplished more at the end.

One thing though. People who cause braking bumps should be chopped up and have their remains used to fill in the bumps they caused. I know I'm on a mountain bike, and yes, I can handle bumps, but they do spoil the flow of the trail, especially on fast berms and jumps and such.

I notice the grumpy roadies have started moaning about it already:

    http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtop ... t=12714620

Honestly, there is just no pleasing some people.

If you were enough of a Mug to believe they'd hold an event at a racetrack, and then make you pay £10 to ride that track, you shouldn't be allowed out of the house without your carer.

Oh, and we must all remember that next year, we've all got to be tucked up in bed shaving each others legs by 8:30pm so the sportive riders can get their beauty sleep

.blitz - I'll have my mulcher fueled up and ready to go :P

I'd like to address personal THANKS to a group of pot-bellied, tattooed, loud mouth group of middle ages idiots who were camping near Fish and Chips trailer. This sort shouldn't be allowed near events like this. I mean some people have sportive in the morning and need their SLEEP.

    SNAP!!!! p7100256.jpg
Oh yes, the plans we had for her, it was no coincidence we went and got a photo with her while her bigger and scarier brother was otherwise occupied with riding a bike!!!, oh and we didn't get thrown out, we didn't want to be there BOYOOOOOOOO!!!!

CWNT, Mrs CWNT has got official HOMBRES cake funding, they were exceedingly good cakes, and like I say guys just join up the group, its free and your under no obligation, but anytime any of you fellas are around, you are more than welcome to join us for riding, and general discussions about debauschery

Bails, yes, very much so a big cruddy/HOMBRES ride sometime soon I think would be a very good idea, are you up to owt on Sunday mate? I'll be popping it up on the group, but Mrs G is off to welshland for a week to recover from her op cos her mum is off, so it means I'm trying to cobble together a monkey ride on Sunday, that goes to anyone else who wants to join us too by the way

And on a final few notes, yeah, miserable roadies, did you not think that maybe there might be a few people having a beer and a laugh there? if you wanted a brilliant nights sleep, check into a premier Inn and come back the next day, simple. And kids, just because you are 14 and got a floppy fring and a jump bike, it doesn't mean that packs of ya can push back up the trails, on the lines and in packs of ten of you, the amount of runs I had to haul on the anchors to avoid splattering them and me, and KONA, learn which way to put the bloody brakes on a bike before it throws me over the bars!!!!

Anyway, we can carry on playing if you like, but we will have to be quieter :D:D:D

I'm meeting with a certain lady on Friday, in Cov to see old uni mates on Saturday, but don't think I've got anything planned for Sunday. My cousin's just got a bike, so I'll see if he wants to come too.

I have to admit, I had this same problem, right at the end of the black run  it slightly worried me.

Yeah it was a concern, like I said, I had a Kona Cadabra, which I enjoyed, apart from the fact that the brakes levers were on the wrong sides, and I was not warned, so when i did the lasttwo jumps on the black and pulled hard on the brakes to slide the berm i just went straight over the top. I just presumed In the heat of things I'd pulled the wrong brake, but then when my mate did the same, we worked out what was wrong. they put it right when i took it back, but i spoke to another guy who had damaged another one of their bikes in similar circumstances, when he told them they had a go at him and tried to charge him

RA is not attractive thats why! They are just identical to a pair I spent all weekend (more or less) in which is what drew me to your groinal area...
