New bike or upgrade?

Thanks to the C2W scheme, I will soon have some disposable income to run down to the bike shop with. Now, my dilemma - upgrade my current bike or buy a complete new one.

As I see it, a brand new bike will cost more but I'll still have two bikes. But do I need two bikes enough to justify the extra expense?

I currently ride a GT Series 3 (Tiagra equipped) which I've had for a couple of years and have been happy with. But, in the last 2-3 months I've joined a club and ride with them most Sundays. This has caused me to re-evaluate my bike and consider upgrading. C2W has made it possible. My LBS stocks Kuota bikes and the owner recommends that I buy a Kuota Kebel frameset and he will swap all of my GTs bits across.

I questioned the wisdom of putting relatively ordinary parts onto a much better frame apart from wheels (which will be upgraded to Mavic Ksyrium Elites) and he insisted that it's not necessary and to stick with the parts from my current bike.

What would you do?
Summer: Kuota Kebel
Winter: GT Series3

Good advice, I mean the groupset is really the last thing you have to upgrade. Apart from slightly smoother shifting and about 500g is weight, there is not 'that' much between tiagra and ultegra.
