i think its finding out about a person by how they defend themselves against something you say.

its the reason i do it anyway.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

You could always go out and rob a couple more FS bikes.

Coz NO-ONE can afford 2 of the things surely.

    Right... Where's that Tin-Hat???

Don't you find it's always more fun in the same old-same old debates though?
The lengths some people will go to to defend something is insane.

definately, the subject comes up so often that i love to stoke the fire with innane ramblings in a usually successful attempt to entertain myself.

iwish people who like one version of a bike more than another would just say

"i like ht bikes, they are good fun" instead of "they are the best, fs riders are shitheads"

oh and, most ht riders really do want fs bikes, but they really are too pricey.

Quite. I also love being accused of being a heavy full suss rider one minute, then someone mentioning that mine's not an overbuilt lardball the next, then it is again, then that I should ride a hardtail (probably just like the one I have)
    It's just....

    mindblowing!

i actually own a hardtail and always have, the one i have at the moment is just rusting in my garden just so i have a bike about which i can comment, unlike all of the folk who hate the bikes they have never tried, right up until the point where they invent some reason why they suddenly want one, or are intending to buy one in the future (when they can afford one)

suspention makes bumps worse! Brakes make you go faster! FS is slower and more fun. Rob Green is a national hero.
all on about equal levels of trueness.

that'll be pricey as hell though eh, i deffo could not afford that, the only reason i ride a fs bike is because i cant afford that ht bike.

and ht bikes are shitt of course.
