hi all!.
im thinking about getting a new p7 as my all purpose do anything bike.
does anyone out there tour off road with theirs?.
what sort of weight can you safely get on the rack without excess frame twist.
i currently have a trek 930 chromo, but loaded up with camping gear, it all gets a bit squirrely wen you try to put effort throu the crank!.
i would say the all up weight of my camping gear includuding panniers, rack, tent etc is under 15kg.
there is no info on the orange site for off road touring, despite this being billed as a "do anything" bike!.
thanks for reading!.

Hi,
The new frame is very tough, I'm just building one up for myself, also I have seen lots of people go trekking / touring on the older P7s all loaded up, so I can't see any reason why the newer one would be any different.
I would however recommend that you consider a travel adjustable fork, as the P7 can run from 100mm to 140mm (140mm being optimum) as I'm sure that lowering the front end would be a great help on some trips especially hilly ones!
Just to be sure though, give Orange a call (numbers on their website) or email them on sales@orangebikes.co.uk.

if i do splash out on one, then it will be with stock forks for the time being.
thats a lovely looking parts list youve got going, hope the build goes well!!.
