Afternoon all
Next weekend im changing the brake calipers on my Spesh (found some mint 2nd hand 4 pot XT’s on ebay).
How much mineral oil would i need to fill both front and back brakes ?
Both brakes have been supplied dry. I was going to get the smaller kit from Shimano, but i don’t want to get it all fitted and realise i need more oil.
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers

Not much at all, unless you get carried away.
A small bottle (i.e. 200ml) will be enough for a couple of full bleeds on both brakes.
The resevoirs only hold about 10ml (at a guess) and there can't be much more than 20ml in the rear hose. Who knows though, I could be miles out, but I do know that I have never out of brake fluid!0 -
my shimano xt 775 came with 2 small bottles
Was enough providing no spills and as long as you know what your doing.
Halfrauds do a bottle for about a five or six quid and i havent noticed any difference
good luckIf you fall off try again !

it all depends on the user."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
