David Harmon is already starting to pay the price of a 6 hour flat stage. We've just had uncanny impressions of a team mechanic on helium and Stuart O'Grady in hospital. Now he's mysteriously gone off air. Will his sanity last an entire 3 weeks?

Go Lars! I love when guys in the break attack and don't and don't give up even when you're only 30 seconds up.

    What about Milram's new helmets?

On second thoughts, maybe it's better not to draw attention to them...

Cav didn't cause that crash. THAT crash came further down the road. Everyone OK I think

No, it's ok. He went in a straight line. Unfortunately it was on a corner

Smart move by Renshaw there. Not only trying to win the stage himself, but also get as many Green jersey points as possible to keep them from any one else.

Disastrous day for Columbia all round.
More bike malfunctions for Cav or just poor handling?
Annus horribilis for him, I think.

Contador is fine, as appear are all the favourites. Quick Step rider went down and that started it.
Canc was right behind and went over the bars.
Bertie can be seen standing just behind where it happened.

The Finish next to the Heysel Stadium (& Atomium) on the outskirts of Brussels is a slight uphill drag and a very wide road. Probably the same as Paris - Brussels in recent years. (at least I saw Robbie win here a couple of years ago)
Well it was the same place finish as Paris Brussels but for that race they leave it as a, FOUR Lane Highway with a slip road alongside it.

The ASO must want dodgy finishes - it don't make sense.

    Cav blew it for himself.

    No one else to blame.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

Would this be the same Jeremy Hunt who organised the protest against Cav?

    PTP donuts for all?
It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.

Haha - pretty much what happened. Real shame for him - want him to do well but he has to be able to ride properly. I'm sure only 6 sprints in 6months is a contributrary factor.

Shame for Hansen too - and he finished the stage!

    Crowds were pretty unreal.

    Nice job Ale.
