I'm having lots of trouble understanding the spoke length calculators online and was just wondering if someone with wheel builing experience on here would be able to tell me exactly what length spokes I need to buy.... please....
The rim is a DT swiss E540.
Hub is a rear Hope Pro 2.
Thanks

Ok, using the spoke calculator at www.dtswiss.com/SpokesCalc/Calculator.aspx
Rim is a DT, so no problems there, just select it from the dropdown.
Hope give their current hub dimensions here: http://www.hopetech.com/database/2010%2 ... %20pcd.pdf
What Hope call the offset, DT call the flange distance. Same thing. Put in the numbers, using 2.3mm for the spoke hole diameter (this is pretty typical for most hubs).
Gives 260mm left, 259mm right. You could get away with using all 260mm for ease (259mm spokes seem to be tricky to get), or 258mm on the drive side, but you would need to take care with the dishing.0 -
Thank you very much for your help... It was the terminology that I was having trouble with..

Thanks again for all your help0
