Headshok to 'Normal' sus fork - Your recomendations please..

As the title suggests, I am looking to ditch the Headshok DL80 from my Cannondale F4 (2008) as it is just too prone to failure and is a massive headache.
Given I would be happy with 100mm of travel (Headshok is 80mm) and I would like change from £250 for the new fork, what would you recommend?
All helpful info gratefully received, especially if you have made this change yourself (Headshok to Normal fork)

I had exactly the same experience as you! Ditched the Headshok last year.
Bought a Magura Durin Race (100 ml travel) which has been great. Wouldn't go beyond 100ml - measure the unsagged fork height and check on the Cannondale website as they give a range of fork heights that are acceptable.
Oh, and you'll have to buy a new headset - I bought a Cane Creek XC short.
