I've noticed is on Sky Box Office tonight.

Read some reviews that said it's a disaster from start-to-finish.

Well, if that's the case, I'm not gonna bother then...

I bought it on Blu Ray as I like the genre and I have a HUGE TV
I like John Cusack as an actor.
I really don't take much notice of movie critics if at all. Some stuff they rave about I hate and the stuff they pan I really like. It's down to taste (or lack of) :P
I enjoy a film for what it is supposed to be ......entertainment. Not a statement 8)

As a simple take your brain out and slurp beer film it's fine. If you're after anything thoughtful go watch Family Guy. It's actually nothing more than a special effects laden building collpas-a-thon. If you like things falling over and stupidly over the top special effects go for it :)

Liam: Should the Indian Scientist have been replaced by Will Smith? Maybe he was a better swimmer than that poor guy :D

Well it worked for me. I'm already building me ark on a hill by the Angel of the North. I'm not gonna get caught out again, oh no.

I wasted 3 hours on a long flight watching 2012. I'd have been better off sleeping, it was that bad.

  • not really a fan of the genre but it is watchable. would not buy it on DVD though.

Yeah, because there are so many better things to do on a long flight.

I'm a bit worried about those neutrinos though, it has certainly warmed up around here in the last week.

...as mentioned, sleeping was preferable. But no matter how bad, once you're part way in curiosity (or hope that it will get better) takes a grip. I'll learn.

Why see it when you know how it ends...

...or you can just wait two years and see it for real...

I doubt the special effects will be as good though - I find real life effects a little fake tbh.

And in some parts of the UK you'd be hard-pressed to notice any difference...
