Seen a 2008 frame on a USA website. ( I've used them before and they are genuine.)

UK conversion makes it £251, inc post/packing from the USA.
UK price for "almost" exact same frame is £499. ( 2009 frame.)

I know VAT is 17.5% BUT...what about Import Duty?
This USED to be about 7%.

If it still is, TOTAL would be £312.

Is it worth the risk for a saving of £180 or so???

bike parts about 4.7% before the Vat.

both need to be included on the deliver costs as well.

Ok, so deal may be worth it then?
Well known company - KHS - so got good rep.

Cheaper frame is anodised too, so less hassle with wear/tear.

Its the 2008 USA KHS 204 XC, Versus 2009 UK 604 XC. Great reviews in the Mags this and last year.

Would be nice with my Marz XC forks, XT/Easton/Mavic stuff.

    Thanks Mr Teeth.

I worked it out at £312, but my Import was around 7%.

Nearly £207 English Pounds cheaper, for last years US frame, but, have to balance that with not being bought here.

Have to mull it over later.

thats a really handy conversion calculator.

i forgot to mention that depending who handles the parcel in britain you may find there is a handling charge added, i now with royal mail it is an extra 8 quid.

even so, its still pretty cheap.
