Looking at spec'ing out a first bike build after previously buying off the peg Specialized.
Aim is to hopefully save some money on equipment and get my own bike...

Looking for small frame aluminium or carbon ( worth waiting for CAAD10 ?)
Hope to fit with Dura Ace

Overall budget will have to be less than £2K.
In no rush for bike so hope to get bits gradually...

Anyone recommend or seen any heavily discounted frames about.

I know Merlin Cycles have good seals on Dura Ace groupsets at the moment...

Any advice gratefully appreciated... ( Ps. I will be getting help putting bike together !!!)

I'd probably not bother with DA - go for Ultegra. You'll not notice the difference, but you'll save buckets. I'm looking to update my 10 year old DA groupset next year, and I dont think I'll bother with DA.

(often a complete bike is the cheapest way to do this though - I used to build my own bikes but its not worth it these days - I'll have a shimano groupset - so the bike manufacturers can source that cheaper than me, and I'm not that fussed on the finishing kit either)
