My 2nd hand bike has old Michelin tyres but they're getting quite worn. What do you guys use?

Michelin and Continental.
This game could go on for a while, but you could choose to liven it up a little by giving vague clues about whether you care about wear, cost, puncture and rolling resistance, also intended use, as in touring or TT may make a difference?0 -

Continental Gatorskins (Ultra) - Bulletproof!
Continental GP4000S's, very nice, too...
Michelin Pro3 Race - Very fast, lasting well, too.Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
Conti 4 seasons in winter, switching to krylion carbons in the better weather for my ti bike.
For the wilier, pondering my options... between ultremos, pro race 3, vittoria evo's, or maybe the tricomps.0 -
Conti Ultrasport folders for normal rides because they are light and I got 'em for £10 a pair.
Vittora Zaffiro rigids for commuting cause they are bulletproof and smooth
Also have some spare tanwall kevlar somethings. And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

Vittoria open pave on the best bike and rubino pro 3 on the other best bike.
Both are fast and supple and, touch wood, not had one yet.
Rubino pro 3 bit of a bargain at £35 a pair.0 -
FMB Tubulars.
Oh, sorry, that was a dream I had last night...

Rubino Pro 3, super sticky and look good with all the colour options
Conti Ultrasports are also pretty good but they do cut up a little, I switched from them to the rubino pro 3.FCN: 5/6 Fixed Gear (quite rapid) in normal clothes and clips

I've just got a replacement Roubaix armadillo on the rear as i needed to replace the original roubaix tyre on my specialized. Don't if its just me but it feels less lively and acceleration seems to of suffered. Anyone know much about these tyres, should I have gone for something like the Mich Pro 3's or is it all in my head??My Marmotte 2012 Blog:

Vittoria Rubino's
Vittoria Open Corsas/paves
Michelin Krylion (hit and miss)
Michelin Pro Race 2/3
I would have said Krylion as well but not now. I tried those Vrederstein Fortezza Tricomps and it was a write off in less than a couple of hundred miles of riding, cut in the side wall. They also felt heavy and sluggish.
I notice you've gone for GP4000, everyone seems to go for those, and they're not that good tyres, they're over rated, advertised as racing tyres, and they're no better than some training tyres.0 -
Vittorio Pave
Continental 4 Season
Bontrager Racelite Hardcase.
In that order.
The Paves are expensive but so, so nice :P
And not that much more expensive than the Conti's to boot (deals excepted).
Got a few to try yet thoughNone of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -
