Hey all i could do with your mindfullness wisdom on this ere great forum haha :D
I dug out some old Warhammer YES WARHAMMER stuff and got it up for sale on fleabay and its buy it or make an offer on it ,which i have it up for £350 quid. Heres linky below
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320553222216

tell me what you all think is it worth it at that price? bear in mind the big tanks cost 60 quid each the smaller tanks cost around 25 each and troops well not really sure how much but ive include loads paints and a carry case worth 30 quid and books and they are nearly fully painted and fixed.

I got some one interested but they offered £220 for them and its hr drive away too, so do i accept it or see (hope) if could get more BUT heres the other thing id rather delivery it myself as they are fragile and dont have big enough boxes to put them in so decided on delivery my self. SO if i did sell them for bit more and i have to consider the distance if it is further then that means further away, meaning more fuel money and the people who messaged me and interested dont live far away like said hr drive from where i love.

Yes im await the digs from u all, yes Im sad nerd "slaps selfs"

I counted the cost my teenage warhammer collection when I stopped playing and it totalled close to £500 spent  So many missed school lunches to pay for that...

I have a huge amount too... Can't bring myself to sell it though, having spent so much time on it. I had my first paper round just to pay for it, then spent all of my evenings painting and sticking together the damned things.

Same here. I collected the ork armies, used to get the magazine too (White Dwarf?) every month. I've lost count how many times I glued my fingers together with the super glue 8)

Genuinely have no idea how much it's worth though. I don't think I'll sell mine, i'll probably repaint them at some point. Me and a friend used to make 'scenes' out of them. We did an Ork Army Football Team once, using an Imperial Guard's head as a football

I have a lot of unbuilt, unpainted models too. I still occasionally get the paints and glue out and have a session with them, it's quite therapeutic. Can't be bothered with playing the games any more though...

I think I only ever played the game once, and got beaten. The lad who I played didn't like painting them, but loved the game, I still don't fully understand all the rules

EDIT: I'm seriously considering getting them all out again and seeing what I can do. Damn you for starting this thread

I liked the painting. I got rather good at it too, all false modesty aside. That and getting the milliput, green stuff and funny shaped tools (ooo-er) out is very relaxing.

LOL not boring or geeky well a little but seriously its acctually good to sit and paint in the garden its good have to think its tactically, what i dont like is the expense and the geeky nerdy kids haha but there were / are places for adults to have advance games with as thats what i did in 90s.

well thanks to the other geeks on ere im now keeping them as its not about the money or wether i game still or not WHICH i dont its about the time money etc spent on them never matchs the value id get SO there have it result i get to keep em and be nerdy some more and get some other dudes on ere to get theirs out. Hey maybe we can have a Bike Radar warhammer war hahaha. 8)

It sounds like nobody knows the rules though, so we'd just end up moving them around and making gun noises.

Actually, that sounds a lot better than playing the actual game. Let's do it. ;)

    takes me back this thread.
had the original warhammer game set , tabletop battlefield in garage , early editon whitedwarf mags with the thrud the barbarian comic strip and a fully painted army to smash all comers.
geeky , yes , but enjoyed every minute of that hobby as a kid.
but god it was time consuming , i can strip and re-build my bike 10 times over in the time it took to paint 1 minature properly.
got rid of collection years ago , gave them to my ex's son but still have 3 skaven warlords
on display on a shelf next to me right now.

I enjoyed my brief attempt at making the models, even if I did stick things the wrong way. And I could kick Chris' arse when playing warhammer. :)

My mate used to play WH ages ago and had loads of it, so I would challenge him for a laugh. Different rules back then though - fear was great. Stick my general on a big flapping beast, land it next to some lancers and watch them fail and run of the board hehe.
