Loctite on bottle cage bolts (carbon frame)?
Put a bottle cage on my new carbon framed beauty. Because I cannot find any reference to the correct torque for these bolts in any user manual or web resource I didnt run out and get a torque wrench, just tightened them up reasonably tight. Went out for a ride and within half an hour the bottle cage is flapping about which sounds pretty nasty on a carbon frame.
I'm reluctant to keep repeating tightening and road testing until they dont come loose in case I break the frame first. I was thinking then about using the weakest loctite threadlock (222) and wondered if anyone would agree or disagree?
